It’s shiny, and it has a big rainbow shaped SMOKECRAFT stamp on the side. This little pocket rocket was made when I was firing pieces in a friends kiln who had learnt to throw pottery in Korea. He can move clay on the potter wheel as though he’s whipping smoke around in front of you, a magician. Then you try to do the same and the clay feels like a stiff old woman.
I have played around with the design in these first pieces and angled a little feature where the shaft and bowl meet. I used a glaze at my friends studio- a shiny washed white to breakouts of pink. It’s small (26cm tall) and trimmed thin for lightness.
